Chamomile & Cornflower
Butter Yellow

I wanted a wall that feels like sunshine in a jug: white chamomile and blue cornflowers packed close on a pale butter-yellow ground.

The flowers crowd together with tiny paired leaves in between, the yellow peeping through only in small gaps, so the whole wall glows softly. White petals, cornflower blue and leaf green, in a flat gouache look with crisp edges and a slightly naive touch. I picture it in a dollhouse nursery beside a little rocking chair, and it brightens a cottage kitchen just as well.
