In duck-egg blue I wanted the daisy chains to look as if they were drawn against a clear spring sky, the kind of light I want in a nursery.
The same small white daisies with golden centres link up by thin grass stems into five loose chains per tile, eight flowers each, rippling sideways and shifted row after row. Here the green turns fresher, grass green beside the white and golden yellow, still in flat colour with crisp edges and a slightly naive gouache touch. It would suit a dollhouse nursery, or a sunroom with wicker chairs and plants on the sill.
