I wanted the daisy chains children make in a meadow, turned into a wallpaper: small white daisies with golden centres, linked by thin grass stems and looping across a soft sage ground.
Five chains cross each tile in gentle waves, eight daisies to a chain, every chain shifted from the one above so the eye keeps drifting sideways, with open sage between them. White, golden yellow and olive, in flat colour with crisp edges and a slightly naive gouache touch. I imagine it in a cottage bedroom with a quilt on the bed and the window open onto the garden.
