I wanted a small, neat print for a French country bedroom: single lavender sprigs with narrow grey-green leaves, tossed across a warm cream ground.
Each sprig leans at one of three set angles, and about forty-five of them share a repeat in a half-drop, so the rhythm stays regular without reading as rows. The flowers are lavender blue and purple, the leaves grey-green, in flat colour with clean outlines and no shading. I picture it in a quiet dollhouse bedroom, where it keeps the walls light and soft.
