I wanted a stone with the quiet green of a herb garden: sage marble with milky white veins and soft grey-green clouds.
Four white veins drift across each repeat on a slow diagonal and continue from sheet to sheet, so the sheets are laid edge to edge with no visible join or stray mark. Sage, grey green, milky white and a touch of pale olive, with fine crystalline detail; it carries the look of polished stone, printed flat on matte paper with no shine, varnish or shadow. I see it in a dollhouse country kitchen beside a cream range, and it is just as gentle in a bathroom or a hall.
