I wanted a sunny periwinkle print: blue flowers on a warm sunflower yellow ground, in the spirit of a French provincial cotton print.
The five-petal flowers, in French blue, white and olive, follow the diagonal lattice, every second one smaller, about thirty to each repeat. Everything is printed flat, with clean outlines and no gradients. I see it in a bright dollhouse dining room or a breakfast corner, where a yellow wall catches the light from the window.
