I wanted a Halloween wallpaper that makes you smile rather than jump: little white skeleton rabbits hopping across a charcoal wall, their bones drawn as simple rounded shapes.
The bunnies hop in staggered rows, turning one way and then the other, with falling oak leaves in rust orange and mustard between them and plenty of plain charcoal ground around each one. The look is flat gouache with crisp edges and a slightly naive brush, with no shading at all. I picture it in a bedroom or a small study for the Halloween season.
