I liked the idea of a trellis that holds one flower in each opening, so I chose a thin double-line diamond grid in red and set a carnation sprig inside every diamond.
The sprigs alternate, one facing left and the next facing right, which keeps the wall lively without breaking the order of the grid. Red carnations, green stems and the fine red lines sit on a cream ground, printed flat with clean outlines and a limited palette. I see it in a Victorian bedroom or a quiet nursery.
