I wanted a nursery paper that feels like lying in the grass: little red ladybirds sitting on clover leaves, scattered over a clean white ground.
About thirty motifs share each tile, tossed in a half-drop so they wander in all directions. Clover green, red and black are the only colours, in flat colour with crisp edges and a slightly naive gouache touch, cheerful without being loud. I picture it in a dollhouse nursery with a white cot and a little rocking chair, or in a child's playroom.
