I wanted a kitchen paper that tastes of summer baking: whole lemons, lemon slices and sprigs of blueberries tumbled across a white ground.
About twenty-five motifs share each tile in a loose mix, set in a half-drop so nothing lines up. Lemon yellow, blueberry blue and green are laid flat with crisp edges and a slightly naive brush, like gouache on paper. I picture it behind the shelves of a dollhouse kitchen or a little pantry.
