I wanted a toile that tells little stories as your eye travels along the wall: a cottage by a bridge, a shepherd with his sheep, a swing hanging under a tree, all in a single blue ink on white.
Each repeat holds about six vignettes, set in a half-drop and linked by small trees. It has the look of a copperplate engraving: one ink colour, fine hatching, no gradients. I picture it in a dollhouse bedroom, and it would be just as elegant in a dining room.
