In red ink I wanted the same country scenes to feel warmer and livelier: the cottage by its bridge, the shepherd and his flock, the swing beneath a tree, in one red on white.
It keeps the same repeat, with about six vignettes in a half-drop, joined by small trees. One ink colour, fine hatching and no gradients, like a copperplate engraving. I see it in a dollhouse dining room around a table laid for guests, and it is equally at home in a bedroom.
