For this one I wanted Halloween to look elegant: fine spider webs set like medallions on an ivory ground, a wall that dresses a parlour instead of disguising it for a single night.
The webs are drawn in ink black and silver grey, anchored in a lattice of thin threads, and every other web has a tiny spider hanging from its line. Four medallions share each tile in staggered rows, with plenty of plain ivory between them, and even the finest line stays bold enough to print cleanly. Flat printed-paper colour, clean outlines, no bats and no moons: I see it in a parlour or an entrance hall.
