Plan your miniature room
Make room for the architectural details
Plan wall features before placing the furniture. Skirting, door surrounds and projecting details reduce the usable space inside a miniature room, even when its outer dimensions look generous.
For a Parisian-inspired interior, keep a clear relationship between the height of the furniture and the wall behind it. Compare the actual product dimensions with your room drawing; period names alone do not establish a compatible scale or fit.
